Super comfortable and easy to use for squishy food like gels or home-made food options. Both good for holding in the hand as well as easily fitting in pockets on a race vest. Works best when prepared in advance of a race/run and can then just be picked up and used very quickly and easily.

I am not normally not a handheld kind of gal. However, I ordered two of these flasks because I hoped the soft silicone would be a game changer…and it was. The hand strap can be tightened such that you really don’t have to actively hold the bottle. Wearing one on both hands works well, giving me 500 cc of fluid while being light enough that I don’t feel as if I am carrying a couple of barbells from the gym. And when I get tired of holding even these little bottles, I can easily carry it in the waistband of my shorts, or even stuff it in my running bra. (Sorry guys. I guess that technique won’t work for you.) Th bottle also fits nicely in a vest pocket. Additionally, even if I wear a pack, I can throw this bottle in my pack and use it to help fill my bladder at streams. The only possible criticism is that the pop up spout thing is large bore and better suited for gels than fluid. If I’m not careful, I accidentally squish water out the spout before getting it closed or while taking a drink.
