I’ve been searching for a headlamp for two years. Yes, two years. It’s nearly impossible to find a headlamp that doesn’t bounce, so I’ve been suffering through with my old lamp for a long time. Here’s my impressions of this headlamp after using it a handful of times:

    Pros:
    1) I love the sensors to wave your hand and turn the lamp off. It’s super handy when people are around and you don’t want to blind anyone.
    2) I like the red light features to save your night vision when you need it, or when the lowest setting is too bright.
    3) The “zooming” feature is a nice touch I didn’t think I needed but I really like quite a bit for dispersing light
    4) The three levels of brightness are incredible
    5) The headlamp DOES NOT BOUNCE and is incredibly comfortable on the rocky terrain of the east coast
    6) It’s incredibly light weight and I love it’s rechargeable.
    7) The price is absolutely incredible for a bright, light, rechargeable lamp. I’m shocked it’s so cheap and I’m super impressed with the quality.

    Cons:
    1) I wish it had a “lock” feature to keep the lamp from turning on by accident in a pack. I don’t see this being a problem because of the way the buttons are designed, but if you’re doing any type of long distance hiking with this lamp, it may happen and you’ll have a dead lamp on trail.
    2) The red light feature can sometimes be difficult to toggle, but I’m sure it will get easier with time.
    3) There’s no battery indicator (that I have seen yet). It’s possible that because I haven’t run it all the way down yet I just haven’t seen it. When you plug the lamp in to charge it, it will show you a red light on one of the red lamp lights, which turns to green when the charge is complete.
    4) It doesn’t appear the battery is removable/replaceable for the future. There are two screws in the back of the lamp, which may help you access the battery if replacement is warranted, but it’s not an easy access like other rechargeables I’ve seen on the market.

All in all this lamp is nearly everything I’ve been searching for in a headlamp at an incredible price. I’m thrilled with it and it’s perfect for my needs right now.

This is the perfect sidekick for night running or hiking! It is light and surprisingly bright. The multiple settings are good for different types of trails or road (depending on how narrow or tree-covered). I also like the motion feature and red light for when you are in camp and don’t need the bright light or want it “on call.” Great to have a rechargeable headlamp that lasts, too. I’d recommend this headlamp over any others I have tried (and there have been quite a few!) for its light weight and brightness.

So I have a confession – I bought this headlamp for using around the house/working on cars/bikes/etc. And it works great for that! So bright for being so little! I also like that it is rechargeable so I’m not looking around for batteries all the time. I believe when I start trail running this will come in handy – I’m just here saying it works great for around the house uses too! 🙂

Wow used this for the first time tonight. Really loved it ! I like the wide angle and how you can adjust it to spot light and the hand swipe to turn it on and off. Best headlamp I’ve ever used….

Overall, this light is outstanding. Very light weight and comfortable. There is a learning curve with the button sequence, but once I began training with it, it became less complicated. My favorite feature is the fact it has a setting where I just need to waive my hand in front of the lens to activate and deactivate it. This helps in a number of situations I find myself in, more specifically aid stations, illuminated streets and streets, and places with intermittent lighting. Ultimately, allowing for battery conservation and ease of use when fine motor skills start to become compromised due to high levels of stress and fatigue. Another very favorable feature is that I can adjust the lens to narrow the beam or widen the beam in various positions. The fact that it is rechargeable is a hit and a miss for me. The positives is that I save money on batteries and I don’t need to worry about batteries corroding within the device if it goes unused for a while. The negative to the rechargeable head lamp is that I am more than likely going to have to carry a spare lamp or a charging box with me. Or, and this happens more than I’d like to admit, I fail to fully charge the device prior to a long excursion, then I am in an unfavorable situation. I always carry a spare lamp anyways, but now I pay closer attention to it. Overall, I rate it a 4 out of 5. The good: light weight, comfortable, motion control to power on and off, lens adjustment, affordable
The bad. : cannot carry spare batteries

What a great headlamp! My two favorite features are that you can widen or narrow/focus the beam of light and I also love the wave of the hand to turn the light off and on. What a cool feature! This is definitely the best quality headlamp I have ever owned and the brightest. The fact that it is rechargeable is another big plus, in my opinion.

Great light that has worked very well on trails at night.

  8. Andrew Garcia

This headlamp is great!! I really enjoy how light in weight it is and doesn’t bounce up and down like other heavier ones, yet still provides an ample amount of light in the dark! Also the motion sensor on/off and adjustable focus of the cone of light are fantastic touches! Very happy with this purchase
