Battery Care & Safety
Proper battery care is essential for maintaining performance, extending battery life, and ensuring safe operation of your UltrAspire lighting products. Please review the following guidelines when using, charging, storing, or transporting your rechargeable lithium-ion batteries.
Charging Your Batteries
- Only use chargers specifically approved for your UltrAspire battery model.
- Never leave batteries charging unattended or while sleeping.
- Always charge batteries on a stable, nonflammable surface, away from combustible materials.
- Do not charge batteries in extreme temperatures, direct sunlight, or excessively hot environments.
- Remove batteries from the charger once charging is complete.
- Never attempt to charge a battery that is damaged, swollen, leaking, unusually hot, or otherwise compromised.
Battery Storage & Handling
- Store batteries in a cool, dry location away from direct sunlight and extreme temperatures.
- For extended storage, maintain approximately 40–60% charge, unless otherwise specified by the battery manufacturer.
- Never store or transport loose batteries alongside keys, coins, or other metal objects.
- Always use a protective battery case when transporting spare batteries.
- Avoid dropping, crushing, puncturing, or exposing batteries to moisture.
- Inspect batteries regularly for damaged wrappers, exposed metal, corrosion, or other signs of wear.
Battery Lifespan & Replacement
Rechargeable lithium-ion batteries naturally degrade over time, even when properly maintained. Battery lifespan varies depending on charging frequency, storage conditions, temperature exposure, and overall usage.
- Regularly inspect batteries for physical damage or unusual behavior.
- Discontinue use immediately if a battery overheats, develops an unusual odor, leaks, swells, or no longer charges or operates normally.
- Never attempt to repair, modify, or reuse a damaged battery.
- Replace aging batteries according to the battery manufacturer’s recommendations and whenever signs of deterioration appear.
Important Safety Information
Lithium-ion batteries contain significant stored energy and can pose fire, burn, or injury risks if damaged, improperly charged, short-circuited, or misused.
Never disassemble, puncture, crush, modify, or expose batteries to fire or excessive heat. Use only batteries and charging equipment approved for your specific UltrAspire lighting product.
If a battery becomes excessively hot, emits smoke, hisses, or shows signs of failure, stop using it immediately. Do not touch or move a smoking or overheating battery. Move away from the area and contact emergency services if there is a fire or immediate danger.
Dispose of used or damaged lithium-ion batteries through an appropriate battery recycling or hazardous-waste collection facility. Never place lithium-ion batteries in household trash or curbside recycling.
