I ordered this before a 50 mile race and tried it on training run on my Ultraspire Spry 2.0 pack and it didn’t seem to secure real well and was afraid it would fall off. I did like the magnetic grip though and perhaps it will work better on another pack where I can secure it on different thickness of fabric.

works amazing on the zygos pack! i felt like most of the time, i could just throw the hose in the direction of the magnetic clip and with would catch!, its a real time saver and easy use. I’m gonna order another one for my buddy and his old school pack, gotta save as much time as possible in those trail races! the best part is not having to look at the clip where you might have to attach the hose, i always felt like i would have to slow down or adjust my stride to get my hose back in place…..no fun……buy one you will be happy

I have two of these clips, one for my Zygos 2.0 and one for the Momentum. I love the added value of the magnetic attachment for fast release and responsive closure. A little side nugget from the UltrAspire team that helped me with choosing the 500 mL Softflask w/ Straw was to take the clip apart and attach the straw/tube side of the mag-clip and then allow the magnet to attach to Sweatproof Magnon Electrolyte pocket magnetic closure. BRILLIANT!! This helps control the straw bounce and allows for a smoother ride instead of having it tap your shoulder of face the whole run!!!

These mag clips are ingenious! I use one on my astral vest and also on the Momentum (as DJ notes in his review- super awesome tip!). They are invaluable to have to make hydrating on the move easy.

Works really well – attached the clip to my vest and it stays on and controls the bladder valve hose really well during ultra distance runs.

Simple and effective. Holds that hose out of the way, strong magnets for easy tucking up on the shoulder, etc. Never lets go of its grip unless I want it to. Great addition to my bladder system to manage the hose.
