Bottom line: Works great if you have a flat stomach, if not, then look at another model.

I’m also the owner of UltrAspire’s Lumen 600, which is an amazing waist light. But the 600 is a little heavier than the 200. The 200’s light beam does have a nice spread and at its highest setting is plenty bright. On its brightest setting, I’ve found that the light will provide great contrast of the ground in front of you even when there are bright car headlights in your face. I use it on the lowest white light setting or even the red light setting to preserve my night vision and I’ve gotten well beyond 20 hours of battery life on a single charge. The 200 is lightweight and would be great to take when you’re on travel and intend to run in the really early mornings or late at night.

The downside though is that if don’t have a totally flat stomach — like I’m assuming a lot of us do — this light will basically be pointed just in front of your feet. You won’t able to adjust it so that it aims further down your path.

One solution I came up with is just wearing it upside down and it works okay. But just keep in mind that because of the way the light’s housing is designed, if you adjust the light upward to shine further in front of you, you’ll get some light spill in your eyes and it can be distracting. And, of course, the power button will be on the bottom, which you’ll have to get used to.

Even though the 600 is heavier and more expensive, I’d still recommend saving up money and getting one that over the 200 because it’s just better designed.
