This hands down is the best light I’ve had so far, it’s bright and light. No more sore neck from those bulky headlamps. Only thing to remember is if you add a phone and goods to your pocket to tighten your belt down extra, it was a little bouncy at full speed.

  2. Beth Ann Matlock

Did an evening trail run wearing the 600 3.0 and saw way more frogs than i wanted too!! Was able to hold my personal items. Did need to tighten the belt a bit so it didn’t bounce. Once belt was tightened all was good

Started using this last winter and it is steller on the trails in the snow and helps significantly with footing. Love it in the summer to avoid small rocks and cannot believe what a difference it makes in my peripheral vision! “3D Lighting” is something you have to experience for yourself. I can now swivel my head and look around with my headlamp without the trail disappearing because I have the waist light always pointing forward where I need it most. No more stumbling in the dark! I even use it in the pre-dawn hours for road running and can keep my phone & keys in the pouch. In love and cant wait to try out the new multi-sport waist light.

This light/belt combination is outstanding! Great for early morning runs in the dark. Hands free and lights my way so I do not stumble or fall. Very satisfied and high recommend.

No more stumbling through the woods at night, stubbing my toes, tripping and falling on my face. Running ultras frequently has me out on the trails at night. Running on trails at night makes good depth perception extremely important. Wearing this light on my waist as 100% eliminated depth perception issues and I am no longer tripping and falling because I am unable to see a rock or root protruding from the trail. In addition, I barely feel this belt, which speaks to its fantastic design. Great product all around!

Great light. I have worn it for dozens of runs. Trail and road, including a 12 hour night trail race(I used two batteries). Solid, consistent light cone. Almost no bounce, and the little there is, doesn’t bother me given the beam is so wide the edges of the light are almost outside my peripheral vision. I like the removable phone pouch, but I wish it was better secured. It can become quite bouncy at higher paces. I have to tighten the belt down very tight to try and prevent bounce.

What can I say about the Lumen 600 3.0? Hmm… I don’t have anything bad to say about it. So I’ll just share my story. For years I’ve been running the roads in the early morning hours. Where I live there are no trails open before sunrise. I’ve used headlamps of varying lumens. So as I run on the roads in the pre-dawn hours, folks in their cars that start an early commute aren’t always looking out for a runner. Most cars don’t stop at stop signs. And I’ve even seen drivers faces in their cars as they’re lit from the glow of their phones. My headlamps did nothing to gain their attention. So enter the Lumen 600 3.0!! This light is a game changer for anyone that runs on the roads when the sun is not up. Cars now stop at signs even when I’m twenty yards away. Drivers see me coming at them and actually share the roadway with me. The light has three levels of brightness and a strobe function. I was once flashed by a car as I used the full 600 lumens! The securing buckle is easy to use and even easier when you need to release it, even with cold fingers. The removable small pouch is useful to carry my phone, an energy bar and my keys. This waist light is unlike any other light I’ve used. It puts headlamps to shame because of where you wear it. UltrAspire calls it 3D lighting and it allows you to see any changes in the road and trail, making running safer so you know where you can plant your feet with confidence. If you can only have just one light… choose the Lumen 600 3.0. You won’t regret it!

Love it, I have used for many 100s and night training runs, this is v well thought out. convenient wait belt with lights. the pouch is back is handy, it could be less bouncy but given the main feature of lighting works flawlessly . I still give 5 star. charging is convenient before 100s, in 2nd brightest mode it will run 8hrs easily and lights up trail v well.

This light is everything it was promised to be. I love my headlamp but this does not slip and is bright enough, even on low, to assist fellow runners. There really are no shadows! Extra bonus, I can always see where my feet are going even when I turn my head to look at something. I love great gear.

I run hundreds of miles per year in the dark of the early morning. I am a traditional headlamp runner, and use black diamond spots (rechargeable) or icons on trails that vary from very steep ski hill climbs to soft forest meanders. Although I have done the pre-dawn run thing for years, I find that headlamps annoy me in a couple of ways – strain on the neck, and pressure of the headband on my skull. I decided to try the Lumen 600 waist light — and the bottom line up front is that I really like it, although make no mistake, it is very different than a headlamp! I have used my Lumen on a dozen runs over various terrains, and it is a fantastic lamp for the trail. I usually use the brightest setting until 15 or 20 minutes before dawn and then down select to the medium lighting. I am not really sure I get a “3-D” effect with shadows, but the oncoming trail is well lite no matter the pace. Once I am home I unscrew the button and plug in the recharge cable, and I am always ready to go the next day. The simplicity of the button is a huge bonus; plus, the fact that the beam can be rotated up or down depending on terrain makes it easy to use. But, there are a couple of drawbacks if you are a dedicated headlamp user. First, the beam is focused on the trail, and you can not suddenly illuminate something off to the side or even look at your watch face. With a headlamp the light tracks your eyes – hear a strange sound and you look towards the bush, it is illuminated. With the waist lamp, when you turn your head it is just peering into darkness! My first run with the Lumen was very disorienting for this reason. By the 3 run I was over the disorientation, and running at pace, but still missed the ability to redirect the light beam simply by turning my head. The second issue I have is using the “fanny pack” holding my phone. The belt has to be cinched tightly to stop any bounce, and I find that uncomfortable. My solution is to put my phone in my shorts, and with just the lumen lamp the belt feels great. Would I recommend the Lumen to others? Absolutely! I do like the light on the trail, but I also would like to have a way to direct the lamp towards the sounds of the approaching bears….

Used many times, it it illuminates my way clearly so rocks/undulating terrain do not pose tripping hazards – due to the light, that is :). The light has three brightness settings and a strobe; for example I use the bright setting on a trail, the low/medium settings when I’m on a paved path, and the bright strobe setting when I run by speeding cars. The only issue I have encountered with the light is a physical one: because it sits on the waist it did not light the path I needed to follow when I climbed a steep rocky trail in predawn hours.

It comes with a pouch on the rear where goods can be stored, up to a large phone in size. However, the belt needs to be cinched tightly to keep that laden pouch from bouncing during faster paces or aggressive downhills.

    Great light – highly recommend.
