The Spry 5.0 race vest is a minimalist pack that can be utilized in a variety of settings. The improvements on the award winning Spry series improve functionality, comfort, and durability. For capacity, the front harness pockets have been updated to accommodate a variety of hydration or gear comfortably and securely. The back panel has a sweat-proof liner under polyester mesh to keep the contents in the main compartment dry but still breathable during longer adventures. A sweat-proof zippered pocket alongside the main compartment allows for storage of items you want secure and dry. The main compartment is a 4-way stretch mesh designed to expand or compress to the load and is built to carry a 1 liter reservoir. The magnetic closure on the main compartment keeps contents secure and provides quick accessibility. The back panel also features a shock cord to carry additional clothing if needed. Increased performance with upgraded 25mm side compression soft limited stretch elastic. The UltrAcool Light Mesh on the shoulders and harness of the spry 5.0 make the pack very durable and incredibly lightweight. 1L reservoir included. One size fits most.

I have been running in UltrAspire vests for years now – two versions of the Zygos, the Momentum, and I used (and loved) the Traverse at Cocodona. But I’ve been looking for something more minimalistic for shorter days and for fixed time events where I don’t need to carry a lot but want to keep my hands free. The Spry has been awesome for that. The 1L reservoir is perfect and I can add a couple of bottles up front. Says it’s compatible with the UltraFlask hybrid bottle, but I’ve also used it with two 500ml softflasks. I’m not a small dude – 6’0” and about 240lbs but it adjusts so well and fits perfectly. Smaller vests are often tricky for my body, but not this one. Highly recommend.
