I’ve been using the Mountain Racer for awhile now, but recently made the switch to the Lightning Waist Pack and couldn’t be happier. The conical shape and thoughtful design make it noticeably more snug and comfortable, with zero bouncing even on technical trails. It holds everything I need for shorter training runs and integrates seamlessly with my packs on longer adventures without ever feeling like I’m carrying extra gear. Another incredibly well-designed piece of equipment from UltraAspire that simply works.

Just get the belt and change your runs. I have tried a number of belts and been disappointed each time. The water bottles slosh or are so hard to get out, you work so hard to carry something then drop it fighting with it, you have to reposition it every 500m. This thing is amazing, trails, roads, hill sprints, doesnt budge an inch. Make sure to get one that is tight enough (33″ waist and went with a med). Drop it to the hips so it is pressing the gut so you can in the calories. This thing has so much storage and the collapsible flask means fluids to go. Phone in the back, fuel on the sides, a separate key pouch, sling for poles. Connect in your aspire 3d light too for those night time adventures. I get a piece of gear I like and use it until it distentigrates. I might by a 2nd for future me.
